Sevgi's Story

Sevgi is a six-year old autistic child, with developmental delay, motor and co-ordination problems. She attends a special school and has been having weekly individual music therapy for three years.

Both Sevgi's therapist, Michele and her dad, Eduard, have noticed the developments that music therapy has brought to her life.

“Sevgi is a child with no verbal language skills. The aims of the music therapy are to enable communication and self-expression. There is a voice inside Sevgi which can come out through music therapy.”

Her father says he likes music, and it gives him pleasure that she does too. They are now able to dance and play together with the music.
