Palliative Care

For people in palliative care music therapy can provide additional support for them and their family. Our music therapists will support a client by developing a relationship through music. This can be through playing music, singing or listening to music or could be writing songs and creating new music.

Music therapy aims to improve people’s quality of life by giving them a chance to explore and express their feelings. It can help people communicate complex issues when words may be difficult to find.

Music therapy can also help people explore their creativity and open up new ways of communicating with those around them. If the patient has family around them, then they can also be included in the music therapy session.
