Christopher was born with multiple disabilities and at the age of 14 still has no speech. He is seen regularly by one of the West Midlands Centre team at his Special School. His mother, a former nurse and health service administrator, now a Trustee of MusicSpace and a valuable member of the MusicSpace West Midlands Management Committee, writes:
"Music therapy has been the key to unlocking many doors for my son, Christopher…. I am amazed by all the progress made, particularly Christopher's ability to express a range of emotions and his growing confidence and co-operation. He is learning to turn take and his co-ordination and concentration have improved. The sessions provided by MusicSpace form a valuable part of his education. It means a lot to us as a family that Christopher has found a therapy which brings him such happiness and helps him to lead a fulfilled life."
